ISSOGAI TAIJUTSU IS A MUTLI-STYLE  MARTIAL ART.

 IT USES TECHNIQUES AND PRINCIPLES FROM A VARIETY OF STYLES SUCH AS NINJUTSU, JUJITSU, AIKIDO, SYSTEMA, KENPO KARATE AND OTHER DISCIPLINES.

 SUBJECTS COVERED IN ISSOGAI TAIJUTSU TRAINING ARE SELF DEFENCE, PERSONAL SPACE/SAFETY, AWARENESS, OBSERVATION, BODY LANGUAGE, ANATOMY, PHYSICS AND PSYCHOLOGY.

ISSOGAI TAIJUTSU TEACHES TECHNIQUES FROM GRABS, STRIKING, THROWS, TAKEDOWNS, PRESSURE POINTS, USE OF ANATOMY KNOWLEDGE, TECHNQIUES FROM THE GROUND, ROLLS, BREAKFALLS, WEAPONS SUCH AS SWORD, STICKS, CHAIN/ROPE, KNIFE TECHNIQUES, KUBOTAN, PLUS OTHER WEAPONS FROM TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ARTS.

THE TECHNIQUES TAUGHT AND USED DO NOT RELY ON GREAT PHYSICAL STRENGTH OR COORDINATION SO ARE PERFECTLY SUITED TO ALL INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF SIZE OR POWER. THEY UTILISE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF BALANCE, ANATOMICAL WEAK POINTS, PHYSICS, MOTION AND THEREFORE STUDENTS CAN LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH A BIGGER, STRONGER ASSAILANT.
